Events Film for Wales
JM Creative has just produced a promotional film for the Major Events Unit of the Welsh Government. Its aim is to profile Wales as an outstanding destination on the world stage and to encourage event organisers to bring their events to Wales.
The completed piece is a mixture of specially shot footage, high quality archive and a stirring score by composer, John Rea.

As part of a new student recruitment drive, the University of Cambridge contracted JM Creative to make a series of inspirational short films. The aim of the process was to ignite the interest and motivate students and schools who would normally shy away from applying to Cambridge. The ‘Education is...’ film relates to the power of education and what makes Cambridge special; namely its threshold to entry is merit- not wealth or birth.
Tony Lakin, JM Creative’s Creative Director, said “The work we’ve undertaken for the University of Cambridge not only looks beautiful but I believe it will also prove an extremely effective tool in attracting students from state schools. We hope to work with a number of universities on their recruitment initiatives throughout 2012."
Presentation Training arm extends to Abu Dhabi
JM Creative has landed two major Presentation Training contracts in Abu Dhabi. As part of our offering, specialist one to one tuition will be given to a number of Chief Executives working within the Abu Dhabi Basic Industries Corporation (ADBIC) and the Waha Capital Organisation. The training will deal with a range of subject matters including pace, variety, how to deal with nerves and what to wear. Special focus will be given to dealing with public and boardroom presentations.
JM Creative's Managing Director, John Morgan, said "Presentation Training is a real growth area for us in the Middle East. We are delighted to work with clients with a professional attitude who aspire to excellence in all forms of presentation."
Promax UK Awards
JM Creative's event arm has just produced this year's Promax UK awards held at London's Hilton Park Lane. The awards recognise excellence in on-air and off-air promotion and marketing in the broadcast sector. This is the eleventh year that JM Creative has produced this ceremony and we were delighted to work with comedian and musician Beardyman who hosted the awards.
It proved a memorable night for the Discovery Channel who won a record number of golds including the "People's Choice" and "Channel of the Year". JM Creative was also responsible for managing the judging process which this year was held at Fox UK's Headquarters in Shepherd's Bush.
Back at the 02
For the second year running, JM Creative produced a major live event from London's 02 Arena. Over 16,000 school children attended a concert featuring a line-up including Chipmunk, Tynchy Stryder, Soundgirl and Diversity. The concert was part of the second birthday celebration of the education charity 'The Transformation Trust'. The aim of the Trust is to provide every young person - no matter what their backgrounds - with the opportunities and experiences that will help them identify and fulfill their potential. Creative Director, Tony Lakin, said "This year went superbly well with a fanatstic line-up which produced an unforgettable day for all concerned"
